As international pet travel is often a complicated, multi-step process, we do expect thorough research to your destination country to have been done prior to your appointment. Any particular timing requirements of vaccines, microchips, or testing for travel should be scheduled accordingly along the APHIS guidelines. The final health certificate appointment is generally recommended to be made around 10 days prior to travel (unless otherwise told by APHIS or your airline) to allow time to mail the health certificate for USDA endorsement. Since this process can be very confusing, we do highly recommend using a Pet Travel Company to alleviate the stress of navigating the ever-changing travel requirements for each country.
